Matteo Pedroni

Matteo Pedroni has received his Master degree in Chemical Science (cum Laude) in 2013 at the Università degli studi di Milano. From March 2013 to April 2014 he worked as a trainee at the NanoBiosciences Unit (NBS) of the Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP) – European Commission JRC of Ispra (Va), investigating in nanomaterial surface modifications for monitoring their biological interactions. In 2014 he has joined CNR-ISTP (previously CNR-IFP) as research fellow and since February 2022 he has a permanent position as a researcher. His research activity is focused on the development and optimization of cold plasma processes. These include: coatings deposition, surface etching, surface functionalization and sterilization treatments. Moreover, he is responsible of the use and maintenance of the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
