Physicist with more than 30 years of experience in Fusion and Plasma Science and Technology.
Work on:
– Propagation of millimetre-wave beams in guided and quasi-optical systems for Electron Cyclotron Heating (ECH)
– High power components and calorimetric loads at millimeter wavelengths
– Launchers for high-power injection of millimeter-wave beams for Plasma Heating
– Design of transmission lines for Tokamaks DTT and DEMO
– Operation of CTS diagnostic at millimeter wavelengths for FTU ECH system
– Research and development of high power millimetre-wave diplexers/combiners for ECRH transmission lines.
Responsibilities:
– Design, construction and installation of the ECRH Launchers for Frascati Tokamak Upgrade (FTU)
– Technical responsible for ISTP of F4E Grants on Design, Development and Validation of the European Gyrotron for ITER.
– Principal investigator of EUROfusion Enabling Research Projects on Experimental investigation of PDI excitation and of their impact on the efficiency of the EC heating.
– EUROFusion DEMO: Task Area Leader in Work Package Heating and Current Drive for EC system design in 2020 and in the field of Transmission Line, Antenna and RAMI analysis in 2021-2022.
