Paola Simionato
I carry out my activity as a technician specialized in the design of computer systems for the Control and Data Acquisition of complex systems in the controlled thermonuclear fusion sector.
I played the role of System Manager of the informatics system responsible for the acquisition, control and analysis of the data acquired from the RFX experiment, a large Reversed Field Pinch experiment. In the field of networking, I contributed to the creation of the Ethernet-type local communication network with TCP / IP transmission protocol.
Within the Controls Group I developed supervision software projects and prototypes for automation and control.
I contributed to the design of the OPC client/server communication architecture between the PLC and the supervisory consoles.
I designed prototypes for the technical evaluation of different automation technologies, PLC and SCADA, for the selection of the systems used in the SPIDER and MITICA experiments. I developed user interfaces for the remote monitoring of the systems and for the management of alarms and I supervised the commissioning of the control systems of different SPIDER and MITICA plants.
