This paper presents a model based procedure for in situ error compensation of spatially distributed magnetic sensors. The proposed approach is numerically validated on RFX-mod, a magnetically confined plasma experiment presently being upgraded with a new magnetic diagnostic system and a state-of-the-art real time control system.
